The Boy in the Whale

This is my first short story to be published. Al Heathcock gave me the seed for this story. He was my professor at the time.  Al Heathcock is the award winning author of a collection of short stories called, “Volt.”  Here’s a link to his site: http://alanheathcock.com/volt-stories/

This story is about a couple who lose their son. They live in a small town. They believe in God in different ways. There is something existential about their choices. There are many choices. Some might say that this is a story about miracles, but it is mostly a story about choice. Also, it is a love story, in that love is a choice.
